November PDAC report
Captain's Report: No stats this month; the Captain was not present.
Toy Drive: Officer Ace Delgado
is once again conducting a toy drive outside of Wal-Mart on two consecutive Saturdays, November 15 and 22, from 10:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. New and unwrapped toys will be much appreciated and will help make a very merry Christmas
for some of our primary-grade students in the area. The toys will be wrapped by the the PDAC members during the
December meeting; the next day, a grand Christmas Party will be held where Santa will give them to excited school children!
Cell Phone Numbers Go Public: Your cell phone number could now be released to marketing
companies, and you'll pay for those incoming calls and text messages. To avoid this hassle, call 888-382-1222
from your cell phone to register the number with the national do-not-call log. The block is good for five years!
Online users can go to www.donotcall.gov to effect that block.
Yes, There is a Leash Law! Dogs not on
their owners' private property must be on a leash not more than six feet long, including the handle.
Philadelphia's law also states that dogs may not nuisance ("urinate or defecate") on any property other
than the dog owner's private property. This law is relaxed for those who immediately remove pet droppings and
dispose of them on their own property in a leak-proof container. Likewise, dogs who urinate on hard surfaces instead
of lawns and around trees can spare their owners possible fines up to $300!
