PDAC Report
Captain's Report:  Cpt. McDowell continues to be pleased with year-to-date stats on
violent crime for the 3rd District due to a 16% decrease generally.  Rapes,
unfortunately, have increased, assailants were known to their victims and could be
readily identified.

Criminal activity for August was made available by the Captain and in print; copies
were handed out at the HEC meeting this date.

Family Day Review:  A review of the August 8 event was discussed.  The day could not
have gone much better.  Officers and residents showed up with their children; ethnic
performances, a DJ, a string band, games for prizes, and food rounded out the
day--all at no cost to the families.

Officer "Ace" Delgado was honored for his tireless efforts in pulling the whole
thing together. To show our appreciation, Officer Delgado was awarded a $100 gift
certificate from the Advisory Council.

Thanks to all who made it a perfect day!  Our next Family Day event is scheduled for
2011.
