HEC BEAUTIFICATION
 TreeVitalize seeks to encourage Philadelpihia residents to plant trees throughout the city, to make a greeer and
cleaner environment. The HEC Beautification Committee organizes tree planting events and provides support for residents

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO F.D.R. PARK? FDR

 Much taking place with more to come in the future.
A group
of park enthusiasts who are also major stakeholders in the community with the desire and the resources to improve the
part have banded together to reinvigorate the Friends of F.D.R. organization.
F.D.R. Park is the home of Philadelphia's
First Tee, a nationwide golf training program which is ranked first among the over 200 locations across the country.
The American Swedish Historical Museum has art and artifacts from the Swedish settlements of the 1600s as well as an incredible
amount of Swedish American artwork.
F.D.R. Park has 20 tennis courts, 8 ball fields, miles of tracks and trails,
5 lakes, and most importantly, green grass.
People tend to think of F.D.R. Park as Packer Park's park, but
it is the regional park for South Philadelphia. The more people who take advantage of this, the more we can demand improvements.

the beginning of Tuesday’s meeting, Bill Stern from the Philadelphia More Beautiful Committee (PMBC) spoke with the
community on the upcoming April 5th City Cleanup Day as well as other new initiatives for keeping Philadelphia
